Policy Holder Notice
Important guidance for STAR Mutual RRG policyholders.
This policy is issued by STAR Mutual Risk Retention Group (“STAR Mutual RRG”), a risk retention group formed under the Federal Liability Risk Retention Act. Insurance policies issued by STAR Mutual RRG may not comply with all state insurance laws and are not protected by state insurance guaranty funds. Coverage may not be available in all jurisdictions.
STAR Mutual RRG is not a member of any state guaranty association. As such, if the company becomes insolvent, state guaranty funds will not provide coverage or payment of claims. By purchasing coverage through STAR Mutual RRG, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Policy administration
Policy Changes:
Any and all changes to your policy must be submitted in writing to an authorized STAR Mutual RRG insurance representative at least two (2) business days prior to the requested effective date.
Fee Policy:
Retail agents are prohibited from charging any fees beyond the premiums and membership contribution fees stated in the declarations page. Any deviation from this practice should be reported to our compliance team.
Claims Notification:
You are required to notify us of any incident, occurrence, loss, or accident which may result in a claim within 48 business hours of such occurrence. Please contact us at 800-730-0373 or via email at starclaims@gbgroupllc.com. Failure to report within this timeframe may result in a denial of coverage.
Policyholder Responsibilities
Please retain a copy of your policy documents and declarations page for your records. Your coverage is governed by the terms, conditions, and exclusions detailed in those documents. This Policy Holder Notice is for informational purposes only and does not supersede or alter your insurance contract.
