STAR Mutual RRG Introduces Electronic Refund Process
STAR Mutual RRG is modernizing its refund process by introducing electronic payments through BILL (bill.com). This update streamlines transactions, providing insureds with a faster and more secure way to receive refunds.
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing efficiency for our insureds, STAR Mutual Risk Retention Group (RRG) is pleased to announce a significant update to our refund process.
Moving forward, refunds will now be processed electronically through BILL (bill.com), providing a faster and more secure way to receive your payments.
At STAR Mutual RRG, we are committed to leveraging digital innovation to streamline automation and enhance user experiences. By integrating cutting-edge technology into our daily operations, we continue to reduce inefficiencies and provide our insureds with seamless, secure solutions that align with the evolving needs of the industry.
How the New Refund Process Works
1. When a refund is issued, insureds will receive an email from BILL inviting them to create a free account.
2. Once the account is set up, refunds will be transferred electronically for quick access. If the funds are not deposited within 72 hours of the provided timeline, please contact your insurance agent.
3. If an insured chooses not to open an account, BILL will issue a check sent via USPS First-Class Mail to the address on the policy.
Important Notes About Check Payments
If you opt not to sign up for ACH, your refund check will be sent via USPS First-Class Mail without tracking.
Please allow up to five business days for delivery before contacting your agent about a missing check.
Keeping You Informed
To ensure a transparent and seamless experience, insureds will receive multiple email notifications from BILL:
An initial notification once STAR Mutual RRG processes the refund.
A follow-up email detailing the refund schedule.
A final reminder one day before the refund is sent.
Security & No Hidden Fees
BILL is a secure and trusted platform, ensuring that all transactions are processed safely. Additionally, there are no processing fees—insureds will receive the full refund amount they are entitled to.
